Our Guest From The North

Our Maintenance Crew often frowns at the sight of snow.  All too often it means they are in for a long days work.  However, on New Year’s Eve they witnessed a different kind of snow that left a smile across their faces.  A snowy owl was spotted perched atop the maintenance shop.

It is a pretty rare event to see North America’s largest owl in Virginia.  These owls are native to the arctic and come down south in the winter, but rarely do they come this far south.  Keep your eyes peeled, it may still be in our neck of the woods!

Here is our guest, supervising things at the Maintenance Department.
