Starting on Monday, May 9, traffic on Old River Road from North Main Street will be restricted to inbound traffic only. This is to allow additional space for construction crews to safely work on the new Main Street turning lane that extends onto Old River Road. In other words, you’ll be able to turn onto Old River Road, but to get back onto Main Street, you will need to find an alternate route.
This closure will be in effect from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday next week. Old River Road will reopen in both directions at all other times. The work requiring this closure should be completed by next Friday, May 13. If weather or other conditions delay this work, we will report further next week in a future Buzz posting.
This is another step forward as we look to complete the installation of a traffic signal at the DORM intersection (Dylan-Old River-Main.)
