Summer activities in Bridgewater are in full swing, and June tennis clinics are open for registration by visiting our website. The mission of baseline tennis clinics is to introduce tennis to youngsters through age-appropriate equipment and activities progressively. The group lessons are geared toward beginning and intermediate players currently in third through ninth grades. Karen Clark, varsity girls’ tennis coach at Turner Ashby High School, directs the clinics. Members of the girls’ and boys’ tennis teams assist with the clinics held at the Doug Will Tennis Center.
Group One (Rising 3rd-5th graders)
- Wednesdays and Fridays- June 14, 16, 21, and 23 from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Group Two (Beginning middle school)
- Wednesdays and Fridays- June 14, 16, 21, and 23 from 6:15-7:15 p.m.
Group Two is geared toward those in middle school who want to learn the game and those who have participated in previous clinics but are still not ready for the faster yellow ball rallies found in the intermediate clinics. There will be no intermediate middle school clinics during the summer. We will do our best to provide different experiences geared toward the various ability levels.
