New BRC Walking Trails Open to the Community!

Bridgewater Retirement Community (BRC) officially opened the Crist Farm Walking Trails on October 4, just in time for this year’s spectacular fall foliage! The trails are open to the public and complement existing trails and parks in our Town by connecting our residents in Windsor Estates to Oakdale Park.

The new trails, located off Will Lane adjacent to Oakdale Park, include 1.2 miles of 8’-wide fully-accessible paved walkways along with additional 6’-wide gravel paths. They provide access to several destinations, including a marsh walk and woodland overlook. The 20-acre site is ecologically diverse with woods, a pond, native grassland, and an expansive meadow. Benches and even a labyrinth are available for those who want to take a slower pace and stop to smell the summer wildflowers (or take in the beautiful scenery year-round). Trails are open to walkers and bicyclists from dawn to dusk, but no motorized vehicles are allowed.

We are thankful to BRC for sharing this beautiful, natural area with everyone in our community. If you haven’t already explored these new trails, they are well worth your time!
