Coming Soon to Sipe: Edible Centerpieces for the Holidays

Join Tassie Pippert, host of PBS’ Emmy Award-winning show Un-Wine’d, at Sipe Center for a demonstration of making food centerpieces for the holidays on November 11 at 7:00 p.m. Samples will be available for audience members.  Pippert will also pair the centerpieces with wine.  The wine will be available for purchase in the lobby.

Tassie Pippert is a faculty member in the Hart School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management at James Madison University.  Her areas of teaching expertise include culinary arts and menu management, food and beverage planning and analysis, leadership, and wine studies.  Tassie is a member of the Board of Directors for VPM, a Virginia PBS conglomerate, and the Blue Ridge Community College Foundation. 

Mrs. Pippert is a member of the International Council of Hospitality, Restaurant, and Institutional Educators. She has presented workshops at conferences focused on beverage management and the use of industry technology for several years and often presents workshops on technology innovation for the faculty and staff of James Madison University and other universities across the country.

Tassie has taught beverage management in California, France, and Italy. Tassie is a certified chef and a Certified Specialist of Wine and is currently studying for additional certifications through the Wine and Spirits Educators Trust.

Tickets are $25. Tickets are available for purchase online, over the phone or in person at the box office. The box office is open for in-person sales Thursday through Sunday, from 3 -8 pm. or by calling 540-908-4208.
