Monday, January 18th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Two years ago, Bridgewater College celebrated MLK day with a march from the Bridgewater Community Center to the Bridgewater College campus. The march was a great success, and last year the event shifted to Oakdale Park, with several hundred members of the community and college participating. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, a march will not be held this year.
While this year’s march was cancelled, Bridgewater College has put together some terrific virtual events to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. BC has interviewed students, faculty, and community members—including our very own Mayor Flory—and recorded their comments for viewing online. There are also additional discussions and lectures that further discuss the life and impact of Dr. King.
