Sipe Center: Clymer & Kurtz

Back at Sipe Center this Friday, November 4, Clymer & Kurtz are debuting a new album! Singer-songwriter duo Clymer & Kurtz seamlessly blends intense and gentle melodies textured with harmonies, agile and inventive guitar playing, and light percussion. Based in the Shenandoah Valley, their music is at once subtle and imaginative, simple and rich. Singer Maria Clymer and guitarist Christopher Kurtz have honed their collaborative songwriting for decades, crafting emotional depth from a remarkable array of styles into a sound uniquely their own.

The duo’s fourth release, Keep Me Around, delves into themes of growing self awareness and reinvention, and encompasses Americana, country, rock, pop, and folk influences. Released this summer, the album has garnered praise: “Holy cow! It’s epic!” – “So much fun!” – “Beautiful” – “Very good songs” – “Difficult to pigeonhole” – “Spectacular” – “Fantastic” – “Pretty rocking disc!”
