Sipe Center invites you to a series of FREE Introduction to Acting workshops, geared toward adults. Whether you have been on stage before or are new to performing, these sessions will cover the basics of acting, from developing character, working with a script, teambuilding, improvisation, and vocal performance. Whatever your level of experience- these workshops are designed to build skills and confidence from the ground up.
These 2-hour acting workshops will take place on the following days:
- Saturday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 6 at 10:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m.
Workshops are led by Rhys McClelland. When based in England, Rhys worked as a Director and Educator for some of the largest producing houses in the country including the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre. From 2014 – 2021 Rhys was based in New York where he acted as Assistant Artistic Director for the Planet Connections Theatre Festival, Youth Theatre Director for the Shakespeare Forum and Education Director for both the Shakespeare Society and The Public Theater.
