Internet Safety Series

We will be continuing our Internet Safety Series on Wednesday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. with the class “Internet, Social Media, and their interactions with Human Trafficking.”

Join Sabrina Dorman-Andrew, co-founder and executive director of New Creation, as we look at the role of the Internet and Social Media in Human Trafficking. Come away from this presentation with tools to be able to help protect yourself or your children from possible online predators as well as resources to help you to spot potential trafficking victims.

Sabrina’s passion for combating human trafficking quickly developed after volunteering stateside with a Ugandan-based nonprofit, and since then it has been her mission to learn about this issue on a local and global scale.

In 2013, she and her husband founded New Creation, a nonprofit that creatively counteracts human trafficking with a local heart and global approach.  To date, that organization has generated over $4 million to combat trafficking. They have worked with over 6,000 students to raise awareness, as well as, training hundreds of community members on what trafficking is and how to recognize the signs.

Admission is free (seats will be first come, first serve) and concessions will be available for purchase.
