The Town will be hosting a public information meeting on the proposed Gen Oak Connector, Phase II, on Wednesday, September 27 at 5:30 p.m. in Arey Assembly Hall. Phase II of Gen Oak would start where Phase I ended in Oakdale Park. The permeable paver shared-use path would continue towards the Memorial Garden and Train Depot, continuing around the Oakdale Pond (parallel to Mt. Crawford Avenue), before turning along Parkside Drive, terminating with a crosswalk connecting to the existing sidewalk on Parkside.
The Town is preparing a Transportation Alternatives grant application for 80% funding for this project.
