You may remember that a couple of weeks ago we shared with you about the early progress in the construction of our latest park, Veterans Park. Since then, the terraced flower beds have been completed, and the patio pavers have been installed. Work has now begun on the wall that will hold the plaques honoring our veterans. Once finished, the wall will be about 24 feet long and 4 feet tall. At one end of this wall will stand a flagpole to pay tribute to the nation which these veterans honored through their service. At the other end there will be an eternal flame to symbolize the enduring appreciation and memory we have of those who sacrificed so much in service on our behalf.
There is still plenty of work to be done to complete the construction of Veterans Park, but we are hopeful that the park will be finished in the coming weeks. So stay tuned for more updates!
