“Memories of Elvis” Benefit for Open Doors

It’s Christmas in the Valley on Wednesday, December 6, as “Memories of Elvis” brings two award-winning tribute artists to Bridgewater in support of Open Doors. They will leave you spellbound with their performances and bring back memories of “Memphis to Vegas” and “Elvis Gospel.” (Conway Twitty may even come by and sing a few songs as well!)

The night begins with a wonderful meal at Francesco’s Restaurant at 5:30 pm and will then move across the street to Sipe Center for the show from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. The cost for the dinner and show is $75, and tickets may be purchased online or in person at Francesco’s Restaurant. Proceeds from the night benefit Open Doors.

Open Doors, founded in 2008 as HARTS, is Harrisonburg-Rockingham’s only low-barrier provider of shelter and support. It currently offers thermal shelter from November to March and rescue and outreach from May to October. During the 2022-23 thermal season, 172 people received shelter, and 27 found a housing solution. Dinners are provided each night, and medical care is available one day a week. Open Doors is focused on long-term success which is demonstrated by a commitment to resource coordination, case management, and outreach.
