Tonight’s the night for awesome a cappella as Note-oriety takes the stage at 7:30 pm!
From James Madison University, Note-oriety is an award-winning upper voices a cappella group, founded in 1998 by Kelly Myer-Femenella & Bonnie Estes. You can find Note-oriety performing all around the JMU campus and at various events up and down the east coast. They are a sisterhood bound by a love for music and lifelong friendship.
Note-oriety is a nationally recognized group, consistently ranked as one of the top upper voices a cappella groups in the country. College Magazine named them one of “The 10 Female Groups Running the A Cappella World” in February of 2018. They have also been recognized with several prestigious awards. In 2019, they competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella and placed 3rd in the region. The group also earned a 2016 CARA win for “Best Female Collegiate Song” for “Bang Bang” off of their eponymous album (2015). The song was also chosen as one of the Recorded A Cappella Review Board’s Songs of the Year, while “Note-oriety” was named their 2016 Album of the Year.
