‘Tis the season for utility work – and with that comes road/lane closures that we want you to be aware of.
Columbia Gas will be working on Liberty Street today between East College Street and Broad Street and on College Street between Liberty and Grove Streets through November 7. During this time, you may experience partial or full road closures in this area between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. The street will reopen each evening. The intersection of Main Street and College Street will be closed from 7:00 pm Sunday (11/2) until 7:00 am Monday morning (11/3). Through traffic should avoid these areas. Columbia Gas will ensure that residents and businesses requiring access are accommodated throughout the day.
Dominion Energy is also pulling fiber through town on their existing poles. They are moving quickly but you may notice some delays through next week as they work. Today (10/31) they are working mostly on Grove Street. We appreciate your caution and patience as the crews are working as quickly as possible to complete their projects.
