There has been a weather-related water line break on Old River Road near Chesapeake Avenue. As we repair the water line break, users, particularly those on the north end of town, may experience a drop in water pressure.
We’re required to notify Miss Utility for an emergency locate, so that process takes up to three hours before we can begin work on repairing the line.
There continues to be high usage of water as the fire department continues their work on the large fire off of Spring Creek Road. As a precaution, we encourage all residents to reduce their water usage this evening.
Grove Street remains closed between Green and High Street as fire personnel continue to use the fire hydrant on Grove. Also please note that due to heavy usage of the hydrant at Dylan Circle, the road on Dylan is icy.
