The Town of Bridgewater will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 5:30 pm at Arey Assembly Hall in the Bridgewater Community Center (201 Green Street). The purpose of the hearing is to solicit public input on local community development needs in relation to a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) regarding a water and sewer line replacement project for residents of Brian Avenue, Cindie Lane, and Stephen Circle in Fountainhead Subdivision.
Residents of the project area are encouraged to attend. The Fountainhead Infrastructure Project will upgrade and replace the water and sewer lines serving the Fountainhead Subdivision. The draft CDBG proposal will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low- and moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project, and plans to minimize displacement. Program activities will not displace any residents or businesses. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on the Town of Bridgewater’s past use of CDBG funds.
The engineering firm that designed the water and sewer infrastructure improvements will be present to answer questions about the project. They will also be available to discuss the stormwater improvements that have been designed for the neighborhood.
We invite questions, comments, and grievances verbally or in writing by e-mail to FountainheadCDBG@bridgewater.town, by mail to the Town of Bridgewater, 201 Green Street, Post Office Box 72, Bridgewater, Virginia 22812, or by phone at (540) 908-4212 until June 26, 2026.
