Bridgewater Historical Society to Host Walking Tour

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Bridgewater Historical Society has an exciting Historic Home and Walking Tour planned for Sunday, July 5, 1pm – 4pm.  Two historic homes will be open for tours during this time: The JG Brown House at 111 South Main Street and the Dinkle Tavern at 215 S Main Street. The Brown House was built in 1849 and is one of the largest of the early homes in Bridgewater. The Dinkle Tavern was built around 1815 by Jacob Dinkle and is thought to be the first home built in Bridgewater. Thanks to Mark and Nicole Flanders and to Judy Galang for graciously opening these homes for the tours!

Find more details about this and other opportunities in the summer issue of the Society’s newsletter.
