The Council met tonight for the first of two special sessions to consider candidates for the Council seat left vacant by Dr. Bill Miracle’s resignation.
The Council received statements of interest from three individuals. The persons being proposed for the interim appointment are William B. Kyger, Jr., J. Michael Fike, and Chris Horst. The candidates’ materials are available for inspection at the Town Office (201 Green Street).
The Council reviewed the statements in closed session at tonight’s meeting and will meet again on August 10 at 7:00 pm at Sipe Center to select the interim Councilman. The selected candidate will fill the vacancy until the special election in November determines a permanent replacement to serve out the remainder of Dr. Miracle’s term.
