Announcing the Inaugural Wellness Quarter Pickleball Classic!
Wellness Quarter is nearing completion, and we’re getting ready to open our doors later this year! In addition to offering open gym times for residents throughout most of the week, this exciting new facility will host special events designed to bring our community together.
One of our first events will be the Inaugural Pickleball Classic on January 16, 2027! Whether you’re a seasoned player ready to compete for bragging rights or a beginner eager to learn the game, there’s a place for you.
When: January 16, 2027, at 10:30 am
Where: Bridgewater Wellness Quarter, 301 North Grove Street, in Harrison Park
Who: Players ages 12 and older of all fitness levels
The tournament will feature two divisions: a Competitive Division for experienced players and a Community Division for beginners. Space is limited, so register early!
Competitive Division
Ready to compete for the title of Bridgewater’s pickleball champions? The Competitive Division will feature a single-elimination doubles tournament consisting of eight teams.
Please complete the registration form for each player. Both partners will need to complete this form and pay the registration fee of $20. The first eight teams to register (both partners) will be selected to play, and others will be waitlisted. The first eight players to volunteer as an Ambassador to help a beginner in the Community Division will have their registration fee waived.
Tournament format:
- Quarterfinal and semifinal matches: one game to 15 points, win by 2.
- Championship match: best two out of three games to 11 points.
- The tournament will not be officially sanctioned, and results will not count toward DUPR ratings.
Entry fee: $20 per person, with free entry for the first eight participants who volunteer as Pickleball Ambassadors.
Community Division
New to pickleball? This division is for you! The Community Division offers beginners a fun, welcoming opportunity to learn the game while playing alongside an experienced partner.
Eight beginners to register will each be paired with a volunteer Pickleball Ambassador—an experienced player from the Competitive Division who will help them learn the game while serving as their doubles partner.
Please complete the registration form. The first eight individuals to register will be selected to play, and others will be waitlisted.
Entry fee: FREE!
Want to compete and give back? The first eight Competitive Division participants who volunteer to serve as Pickleball Ambassadors will have their Competitive Division entry fees waived.
Awards & Celebration
The fun won’t end with the final point! Following the tournament, join us at The Cracked Pillar for an awards celebration. All participants and guests are encouraged to attend.
- Champions and runners-up: Trophies presented by The Cracked Pillar to the top two teams.
- Competitive Division: An inaugural Pickleball Classic T-shirt for every player.
- Community Division & Spectators: A customized Pickleball Classic pickleball, while supplies last.
