To improve the flow of traffic in the parking lot at the Town Office (201 Green Street), we have made the lane one way running counter-clockwise around the building. You will still be able to enter from either Green or Grove Street but will need to follow the arrows around the building.
This change accomplishes two things:
- The parking lot lane will be able to safely accommodate increased traffic coming from the newly connected Wellness Quarter parking lot.
- We have installed a new drop box for the Treasurer’s Office where drivers can pull up to it without crossing into oncoming traffic.

See the map below for details on the new traffic pattern and the location of the new drop box.

Personal Property Tax Bills
The Treasurer’s Office sent out personal property tax bills yesterday, so they should be arriving in the mail soon. These taxes are assessed on vehicles and are in addition to the personal property taxes assessed by the county which you have likely received already. Please note that the Town does not have a real estate tax, so you will only receive that bill from the County. Personal property taxes are due on December 7, and you can pay using the new drop box, online, by mail, or in person Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
