Did you know Bridgewater is served by a local bus service? It’s called BRITE and it is operated by the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission. BRITE bus stops can be found in Staunton, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg, and many places in between. Bridgewater is served through the “BRCC North” connector. Bridgewater has three bus stops:
- 519 North Main Street (in front of Bridgewater Foods)
- 99 Dinkel Avenue (across from Blue Ridge Christian School)
- 461 Dinkel Avenue (in front of Bridgewater College’s Dillon Hall)
Bus service in Bridgewater currently only goes in one direction: south along Main Street, then east along Dinkel Avenue. After the Bridgewater stops, the BRITE bus travels to Blue Ridge Community College, where you can either stay on the bus and go to Harrisonburg, or switch buses to head towards Staunton or Waynesboro.
With COVID-19, you must wear a mask to ride the BRITE bus. However, all rides are fare-free until further notice.
We’re very fortunate to have a local bus service – please check out BRITE!
