Update Noon: Sandy Bottom Park has reopened, including the Par-3 and Mini-Golf courses. However, the Volleyball court remains closed. We hope to reopen volleyball on Thursday.
Update 1:45 p.m.: Sandy Bottom Park remains closed for the rest of today (July 19). Cleanup continues, which includes the spreading of lime as a disinfectant. Please do not walk into Sandy Bottom Park until the cleanup is complete and the park is reopened. Our plan is to reopen tomorrow (July 20) at noon. As we reported last night, the sewer line along Mountain View Drive has been repaired and the road patched. Sandy Bottom Park remains closed as cleanup continues. Once we make a determination that we can reopen the park, we will post an update here on Bridgewater Buzz News.
Again, we greatly appreciate the help of the crews from Bridgewater and Harrisonburg who worked quickly to repair this sewer line break.
