The 2nd annual Dynamic Duo Memorial Run & Ride in honor and memory of Officers John Painter and Vashon J.J. Jefferson will take place this Saturday, March 11 starting at 9:00 a.m. The 15-mile course will take participants from the Grottoes Police Department to the Bridgewater College Police Department. A brief ceremony will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the start of the journey. The public is invited to attend, run or cycle. This is a “non-event event” with no registration, however, runners and cyclists are requested to let organizers know if they are interested in participating.
The Rockingham County Sheriff Office will escort participants along the route. Transportation will be provided for runners back to Grottoes. The running pace will be about 10:30 per mile. Breaks will occur along the route.

Left on Holly,
Right on 256 (Weyers Cave Rd.),
Right on Circle Lane,
Right on Bingham (gravel road along the river),
Right on Lee Roy,
Left on E. Timber Ridge (Rt. 668),
Left on Scotts Ford (Rt. 677),
Right on Cross Keys,
Left on Faughts (Rt. 678),
Left on Koiner Ford (Rt. 995),
Right on Fairview (Rt. 693),
Stay to the left when road changes to North River Rd. (Rt. 867),
Cross over Hwy. 11 in Mount Crawford,
Continue straight on Old Bridgewater Rd. (name change in Mt. Crawford),
Left on Dinkel,
Left on College View Drive (then ends at the BC PD).
End of course (approximately at noon)
