We are excited to announce that Veterans Park is near completion! Veterans Park at 425 North Main Street was built to honor those who have served our country as well as to beautify the Midtown area a bit. We will host a Park Dedication on Wednesday, December 6 at 10:00 am. The public is invited to attend, but please note that parking space and standing room are limited.
The park features a wall with plaques naming veterans and their branches of service. The wall currently has eleven plaques with room for many more additions. Among the first honored veterans is a member of the American Expeditionary Force in World War I. Other plaques honor more recent veterans from the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines.
You can purchase plaques for $200 each at the Bridgewater Community Center at 201 Green Street, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Net proceeds from the sales benefit the VFW Post 8644.
